Chiranjeevi’s “Bhola Shankar” to Release on August 11, New Posters Unveiled on Labour Day

The upcoming Telugu film Bhola Shankar starring Mega Star Chiranjeevi is all set to hit the theaters on August 11. On the occasion of Labour Day, new posters of the movie were unveiled. Directed by Meher Ramesh and produced by Ramabrahmam Sunkara under the banner of AK Entertainments, Bhola Shankar is the remake of the Tamil film Vedalam. The posters hint that Chiranjeevi is portraying the character of a taxi driver from Kolkata. The film also stars Keerthy Suresh and Tamannaah in pivotal roles. While Keerthy Suresh will be playing the role of Chiranjeevi’s sister, Tamannaah will be paired opposite him. The film is said to be an action-packed entertainer with a strong sibling bond.

Earlier this year, Chiranjeevi’s movie Waltair Veerayya managed to put up a decent performance at the box office. Director Meher Ramesh is helming a project after a gap of ten years. His previous film Shadow starring actor Venkatesh was a commercial failure. With the exception of Prabhas’s Billa, Meher’s other films have not performed well at the box office.

After Bhola Shankar, there were rumors that Chiranjeevi might collaborate with director Puri Jagannath. However, after the failure of Puri Jagannath’s Liger, these speculations have died down. The latest buzz suggests that Chiranjeevi may work with director Mallidi Vasishta of Bimbisara fame. Additionally, there are reports that he might work with director VV Vinayak again. Reportedly, Vinayak is remaking Mammootty’s Malayalam film Bheeshma Parvam in Telugu with Chiranjeevi as the lead. Vinayak has previously worked with Chiranjeevi in the hit movies Tagore and Khaidi 150. Currently, Vinayak is working on the Hindi remake of Chatrapathi with Bellam Srinivas.
