Director SS Rajamouli’s highly acclaimed movie ‘RRR’ has once again garnered international recognition, winning four awards at the Hollywood Critics Association Film Awards. The movie was awarded for Best Action Film, Best International Feature, Best Original Song, and Best Stunts.
During his acceptance speech, Rajamouli expressed his gratitude to his team, including the choreographer Juji, who made it possible to execute the stunts, especially the climax action scenes. He also thanked other choreographers who came to India and adapted to the working style to help the movie achieve success.
Rajamouli even revealed that the lead actors of ‘RRR’, Jr NTR and Ram Charan, performed most of the stunts in the movie, with body doubles used in only two to three shots. The director also mentioned that the movie took 320 days to complete, with the majority of time spent on the shooting of stunts.
‘RRR’ won the Best Action Film at HCA, surpassing Tom Cruise’s ‘Top Gun: Maverick’. The director showed his appreciation for the Hollywood Critics Association for recognizing the movie’s worthiness for an award in the stunts category.
