The Telugu film ‘Dasara’, featuring Natural Star Nani, is expected to perform well at the Tollywood box office due to two main factors. Firstly, there is no major competition in the market, and secondly, it is being released on a festival day, Sri Rama Navami. Being the first Pan-India film made on a large scale, it is a mass and super swaggy film that is expected to earn more than Rs 20 crores on its opening day across all language versions.
The movie has reportedly already grossed over USD 5 lakhs through its premieres in the US, which is said to be the highest ever for Nani in the overseas market. It has also received over 70% occupancy on its opening day in most released centers and languages, with above-average feedback for its content, performances, and execution. Nani’s performance is being touted as one of the highlights of the film.
The film’s advanced mass bookings in both domestic and overseas markets reflect the high expectations for this period action-drama. The Telugu states have reportedly shown strong bookings, while the other language versions have shown slightly lower bookings.
The Hindi version of the film has reportedly garnered over Rs 2.25 crores in advanced bookings, which is the highest ever for Nani in his career so far. As this is Nani’s first Pan-India release, the film is expected to outperform Ajay Devgan’s ‘Bholaa’ at the Indian box office.
