Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha have been long-time industry friends, having acted together in the movie ‘Mahanati’ with Keerthy Suresh. Fans have been hoping for a full-length movie featuring the two of them as leads, and director Shiva Nirvana made that wish come true with the announcement of ‘Kushi’.
Originally planned for release in December of last year, the production of ‘Kushi’ was postponed due to other commitments and Samantha’s illness. But now, the makers of the film have officially announced its release date.
As per the announcement by Mythri Movie Makers, ‘Kushi’ is set to release on September 1, 2023. A new poster was also released, featuring Vijay Deverakonda as a BSNL employee and Samantha as a housewife. However, what catches the eye is the difference in their worlds. The makers of the film hinted that “two worlds will meet” on September 1st.
It remains to be seen whether ‘Kushi’ is a love story between a young man and a married woman, or whether Vijay and Samantha will portray a beautiful married couple. Fans are left with many interesting questions, but all will be revealed in theaters on September 1st.
‘Kushi’ will be released pan-India in multiple languages, with music composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab. Dinesh is the cinematographer, and Prawin Pudi serves as the editor.
